Nugget from the back. You can see his/her bottom and shoulders. On the top of the picture, you can see an arm and a leg. Again on this one you can see the water sack. If you look closely, towards Nugget's bottom you can see the umbilical cord.
Well, it's no secret that I've been experiencing a few problems. I've had two episodes of spotting, so the midwife decided to have me come in for an ultrasound today to make sure everything was okay. Steven got to come, which was cool because he finally got to see the baby. I think it feels more real for both of us now.
The baby is fine. In fact, she said that he or she looked really good and saw no problems. She recorded the heart rate. Nugget's was at 171 bpm, which was great. So, we took a huge sigh of relief.
She looked for a reason as to why I would be spotting this bad, and the only thing she could find was that the placenta is really close to my cervix. Obviously, there is nothing we can do about this right now. She just said to monitor things at home and take it easy. Eventually, the placenta should move up higher. There shouldn't be any major spotting problems once it does.
Anyway, I'm really excited that we both got to see the baby and that the baby is healthy! It is so amazing what they can do with technology these days.
Until next time,
Steven & Jill
