Doctor's Appointment Update

So today I had my 3rd doctor's appointment at 18 weeks along. I was so excited to go to this one, which is unusual because I don't like going to the doctor's usually. Here's the basics: I am at the same weight as last month, so my pregnancy weight gain is still at -3 lbs. The midwife wasn't concerned and said to enjoy it while it lasts. My blood pressure was 120/70, so I'm definitely looking good. Baby is looking good too. His/her heartbeat was at 152. The midwife took a guess saying she thinks it is a girl, so we'll have to wait to find out. They took a tube of my blood today (ugh...I was better about it this time around though) for the AFP test, which screens for downs syndrome. I'll find out at my next appointment what the results were. Speaking of next appointments...this was my last monthly appointment! Now, I have to go every two weeks instead. That makes my next appointment AND the BIG ultrasound scheduled for October 28th at 8:30 a.m., so we'll see if this baby has a hot dog or a cheeseburger! Until then, tell us what you think...boy or girl?
